Reflections on Your Group Experience
CancerCare’s online groups usually meet for several months at a time. As our groups come to a close, members are invited to share feedback and reflections on their experience as a member of such a community. The process of writing closing words facilitates group closure and creates a sense of legacy for the group.
At this time we also invite group members to return for the next cycle of the group.
Below is an excerpt from some of our caregivers.

from Joanne, a member of Lung Cancer Caregiver's group
This is one of our last weeks together and I would just like to say what a special group this has been for me. One would think conversing via the internet would be too impersonal to make a difference. However, I would like you to know that many times this group shored me and touched my heart. Thank you!

From Julie, a member of the General Caregivers/Loved One's Group
I used to feel cheated....everyone asks about the cancer patient but not the caregiver. But this support group has filled that gap. And I think BECAUSE of this group, I now hear more people ask me how I am. Hard to explain...but, people DO ask...and I used to answer with...”With Susan”....I was afraid to open myself up to people...open up to the pain. Having you all to share it with has enabled me to share it elsewhere.
