Reflections on Your Group Experience
Cancer
Care
’s online groups usually meet for several months at a time. As our groups come to a close, members are invited to share feedback and reflections on their experience as a member of such a community. The process of writing closing words facilitates group closure and creates a sense of legacy for the group.
At this time we also invite group members to return for the next cycle of the group.
Below are posts from members of People Who Have Lost a Loved One.

I would have to say that in all the CancerCare groups I have been in, this one has been the most helpful--it has a great blend of core people who have become very important in my journey through grief. As Lauren said, even though we all are so consumed with grief, we have miraculously been able to support each other too.
Just knowing I can come here anytime day or night and talk has been so helpful. Grief is so BIG, but sharing it here makes it somewhat manageable. I have felt loved and cared for here, and that is a wonderful thing.
I really, really hope the new folks find this group as helpful as the rest of us have. It's a special place with special people.

I have gotten SO MUCH support and encouragement from CancerCare, from this particular group especially, that I know I couldn't have gotten anywhere else in my life. I say this over and over but it is true. Without you people I would have cracked long ago. I think about each of you guys all the time, and talk about you, too. Back when my mom first died, I couldn't imagine I'd ever stop crying or stop feeling lost. You guys helped me through this dark period and have continued to help me deal with the aftermath that came later. I appreciate your kindness and compassion more than you will ever know! Please keep in touch after 8/1!
