Introductions
In our groups, subscribers are invited to introduce themselves in this folder, and share a little bit about themselves and their situation. We like to keep everyone’s introductions contained within this folder to separate ‘who we are’ from the other discussion threads. That way, should you need a refresher on the participants in your group, you can return to this folder as a reference.

Here is an example of an introduction from Rachel, one of our moderators:
Hi everyone,
I am a clinical social worker in the on-line program at CancerCare and prior to this I was at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. At MSKCC, I worked in several different areas -- in-patient, out-patient and post-treatment programs -- with patients and families/friends who were dealing with many different types of cancer. My work prior to oncology was in HIV/AIDS. What makes life important for each of us and how we, as human beings, learn to live fully and well (even in the face of illness) has always been an interest of mine. I love my work as a clinical/medical social worker.
As your facilitator, I will provide feedback, support, education and information. I will be reading all of the posts and you will certainly be seeing posts from me on a regular basis. For those of you who are returning members, I want you to know that I have had a chance to talk with Natalie Wilson and will do my best to honor the established system, however, please feel free to let me know if I am missing anything....
As with any support group, the most significant contributions will come from all of you as you post and respond to each other. I am looking forward to being a part of this on-line community over the next four months.
Sincerely,
Rachel
